It was scanned. Scanning paintings is almost always painful because the scan is always a sickly grey version of the real paint on paper. I did a levels adjustment in photoshop. Almost anything looks better with a small levels adjustment to make the colors pop out a bit again. Then theres little bits of light blue that showed up on the underside of the generator and a bit on that pipe. The true color of the painting in those spots doesnt quite look like that, but ah well. It breaks up the green at least.
