The blue under the henhouse is funny... it kinda looks like flowers, which is real if you've ever looked under a real henhouse in the dead of summer.

A little bit of both I think. The clouds are just pastel on the watercolor paper and most everything else is acrylic or gouache applied with drybrush or a sponge. Theres colored pencil in a few spots too.
