New paintings for ye
The top one is a still life starring stuff I got at the thrift store. The bottom one is a copy painting of a background by Bill Tytla from Fantasia. Both are done in gouache.
I was supposed to go there one day with some friends, but I took a nap instead! I have no idea where that Value Village is.. I could have used a few 'new' duds myself, that day.
By the way, where can I find the original background you did the painting of? I'm looking, but I can't seem to find it anywhere!
Its in "The Illusion of Life" on page 270. The caption lists it as "Artist: Bill Tytla - Fantasia", but looking again I see 2 other background layouts from Pinocchio that feature this exact same woodpile and shovel from diffrent angles. I'm pretty sure this is where Jimminy Cricket warms his ass on a piece of coal. Frank and/or Ollie must have gotten lazy...
These paintings are really beautiful Brock!! Your painting has improved so much *o*;; I really like your handle of colours and textures.. Especially in the master copy painting, you've managed to put a aesthetic quality to it that I didn't remember the original having ^o^~~ Lovely vibrant colours =)

Beautiful stuff, buddy! Is that the Kerr Street thrift store? I walked there, once. I don't know of any others around!
Your copied background is awesome! Very solid. I love it! Wicked stuff! =)
It was the Value Village over on Dundas next to Best Buy. Same place I get all my clothes!
